Stark Future Dealer Portal

UX Design (Responsive)

A comprehensive dealer management platform designed to streamline troubleshooting and empower Stark Future's global dealer network with accessible resources.

Problem Space

Stark Future dealers faced a critical challenge: insufficient website resources for troubleshooting both internal operations and customer-facing processes.

Solution

By prioritizing information architecture and seamless navigation, the platform empowers dealers to resolve issues independently in under 30 seconds—strengthening confidence, reducing support tickets by 47%, and elevating the entire dealer experience.

Sprint 1 - Discovery and Research

Product Roadmap

I established a phased approach prioritizing immediate value: knowledge base infrastructure and core troubleshooting documentation first, followed by video tutorials and interactive diagnostics. This strategy delivered critical resources quickly while enabling data-driven content expansion.

Product Roadmap

Analysis of a mixture of technical/automotive companises including Apple, Rivian, McClaren, and Tesla dealer platforms revealed benchmarks for effective search and knowledge organization. Key insights highlighted the power of contextual help, visual aids, and mobile accessibility; while exposing common pitfalls like overly technical language and poor search algorithms that I deliberately avoided.

Jobs to be Done

Dealers need instant diagnostic access to resolve issues without support escalation, clear warranty guidance to prevent errors, comprehensive onboarding resources for new staff, accessible product information for confident customer responses, and timely process updates to maintain compliance.

Sprint 2 - Ideation & Planning

How Might We…

  1. How might we support new and existing dealers purchasing and servicing Stark models that will maximize their bottom-line?

  2. How might we help dealers support their customer’s with their service/warranty repairs?

  3. How might we make B2B users confident in their service and support expectations when working with Stark and Stark products?

  4. How might we lessen the difficulty of service/warranty SOPs/documentation for both new and existing dealers?

  5. How might we make dealers feel confident that they have all of the information and tools at their disposal to maximize service for the end-consumer?

User Stories & Flows

I mapped critical journeys: technicians searching error codes for quick diagnostics, sales reps accessing instant product specs, service managers following warranty procedures, and new employees learning processes independently. Each flow minimized steps between problem identification and solution—optimizing for speed without sacrificing thoroughness.

The architecture organized around five pillars: Knowledge Base (searchable troubleshooting), Process Guides (operational procedures), Product Resources (specifications and manuals), Training & Onboarding (video tutorials), and Support (escalation pathways). This structure prioritized findability through multiple intuitive entry points.

Sprint 3 - Design & Prototyping

Style Guide

I established search-driven layouts featuring prominent search bars, quick-access category tiles, and progressive disclosure patterns. Wireframes validated information architecture through stakeholder feedback before visual design investment—ensuring dealers could locate resources effortlessly across devices.

Hi-Fi Screens

High-fidelity designs brought Stark Future's innovative brand to life while prioritizing clarity. Clean search interfaces with intuitive filtering, scannable article layouts with numbered steps and annotated diagrams, and visual category navigation created an experience that felt both professional and approachable. Consistent component styling reinforced brand identity while maximizing readability.

Responsive Prototyping

I designed adaptive experiences across contexts: desktop for comprehensive reading, tablet for workshop reference during active repairs, and mobile for instant field access. Interactive prototypes validated touch-friendly navigation and accessible multimedia controls—ensuring seamless resource access regardless of environment.

Sprint 4 - Development Handoff & Revisions

Developer Handoff and Revisions

Comprehensive documentation ensured design integrity: detailed search behavior specifications, CMS requirements, content governance guidelines, and responsive breakpoint definitions. Regular design reviews during development maintained user experience quality while addressing technical optimization challenges.

Additionally, stakeholder collaboration expanded capabilities: region-specific compliance documentation for international markets, integrated dealer feedback mechanisms for continuous content improvement, prioritized search algorithms highlighting recently updated articles, and multi-language video support for global expansion.

Sprint 5 - Launch & Reflection

Launch

A strategic pilot program with high-volume dealers enabled validation before full deployment. The results exceeded expectations: 47% reduction in support tickets for documented issues and 3.2/5 satisfaction rating. Analytics tracking search queries and article views informed ongoing content priorities—validating immediate value while identifying growth opportunities.
