Sprint 1
Research
During the first sprint, my focus was on designing the "Philosophy" section, a cornerstone feature that communicates Overflow Capital's mission, values, and approach to supporting founders. Research Approach:
Ideation
While designing Overflow Capital’s landing page in Figma, I focused on creating a user-friendly and visually appealing experience that aligns with the brand’s mission of empowering entrepreneurs.
Iterations
During Overflow Capital’s landing page design process, multiple iterations were essential to refine the user experience and align with stakeholder feedback. Early drafts focused on showcasing content density, focusing on company philosophy, funding, key investment focus areas, and a company team section.
Sprint 2
Wireframes
The wireframing process established the foundational layout for Overflow Capital's landing page, mapping content zones for the philosophy section, investment focus areas, founder resources, and contact pathways.
Style Guide
We developed a comprehensive design system to ensure visual consistency across the Overflow Capital platform. The style guide incorporated a professional color palette anchoring trust and credibility, deep blues conveying stability and expertise, complemented by energetic accent colors representing innovation and growth.
Hi-Fi Screens
High-fidelity screens brought the Overflow Capital vision to life through polished visual design. The landing page hero section featured bold messaging paired with strategic imagery showcasing global entrepreneurship and innovation.
Sprint 3
Developer Handoff
The transition from design to development marked a critical phase in delivering Overflow Capital's digital presence. We provided comprehensive design specifications including detailed component annotations, interaction states, spacing measurements, and responsive breakpoint guidelines.
Usability Testing
Following the initial development build, stakeholder review sessions identified several refinement opportunities that enhanced the final product. The Philosophy section underwent content restructuring to emphasize founder success stories more prominently, with testimonial placement adjusted for greater visual impact.
Lessons Learned
Through this project, I gained valuable experience balancing stakeholder visions with user needs in the investment space. The iterative design process reinforced the importance of early wireframing and continuous stakeholder feedback in refining complex informational architectures. Working within tight sprint timelines enhanced my ability to prioritize design decisions that delivered maximum impact while maintaining quality standards.
